  Most power boaters and sailors have been through it: you take that long drive up to your favorite lake, or bay. The conditions don't look very good, but you launch anyway.  After a relaxing day of boating, you get back to the dock. The ramp is covered with algae, and your first thought is "I hope I can get out of this." Because it's now low tide, or the lake level is low, you are now trying to retrieve your boat at that all-too-common shallow ramp.... 

You back up as far as you can, your tires in the water. On some ramps you have to go back so far as to have your tail pipe bubbling, with your vehicles rear end in the water. Water now gets into the housing through the air breather, destroying the seals, bearings and braking system.  Now your throwing your back out, cranking your boat up over the rollers. After all this, you get your boat on the trailer, put your vehicle in gear, and YOUR TIRES SPIN ON THE ALGAE AND MUCK ON THE RAMP!            AAUUGH!!!
